Its primary function is to reduce the temperature of hot, freshly dried fertilizer granules, ensuring product stability, improving storage life, and facilitating packaging. The Rotary Drum Cooler operates through a rotating cylindrical drum that allows materials to move from the higher end to the lower end while cooling air flows through the drum. As the fertilizer granules travel through the rotating drum, cold air (often ambient or forced by fans) is introduced, which absorbs heat from the hot granules. The constant rotation and internal lifting plates ensure even cooling of the materials. The cooled products are then ready for screening, polishing, and packaging.
