Bucket Elevator

• Buckets are attached at regular intervals on a conveyor belt or chain.
• The belt or chain moves over two pulleys—one at the bottom (boot) and another at the top (head).
• Material is loaded into the buckets from the boot section (via a hopper or direct feed).
• As the belt moves vertically, it carries the loaded buckets upward.
• At the head section, centrifugal force or gravity discharges the materials into an outlet chute.
• The empty buckets then return downward to the boot to repeat the process.
