The Fertilizer Rotary Drum Dryer consists of a rotating cylindrical drum that is slightly inclined. Wet fertilizer granules are fed into the higher end of the drum, and hot air or gas is introduced at the lower end of the drum. As the drum rotates, the granules are lifted by internal flights and then tumble through the hot air stream. The heat causes moisture to evaporate from the granules. The dried fertilizer moves toward the discharge end of the drum, where it is collected. The dryer uses a combination of heat and mechanical movement to ensure uniform drying of the granular material.
