How to ferment cow dung?

First, the cow dung should be aired to keep its moisture content below 85%, and then add straw, and the ratio of cattle dung should be 7:3, so that the carbon ratio of raw materials (cow dung) and auxiliary materials (straw) should be controlled at 23-28. The water content is controlled at 52% to 68%. Then add organic fertilizer fermentation decomposing agent.
After the raw materials, auxiliary materials and agents are mixed and stirred, they can be piled up for fermentation. The requirement of pile up is to pile into a bottom width of 1.8 to 3 meters, a top width of 0.8 to 1 meter, and a height of 1 meter to 1 meter. 1.5 meters of trapezoidal stacks, with an interval of 0.5 meters between stacks. After the stacks are stacked, the temperature will rise to above 60 degrees within 24 to 48 hours, and the temperature will be maintained for 48 hours to start turning.

A fermentation groove with a length of 50 meters and a width of 4 meters can also be built, and multiple grooves can be built. Stack the mixture in the fermentation tank, and then use the groove type compost turning machine to turn the heap. Mechanically turn the heap evenly and thoroughly, and turn the low-level special materials into the middle and upper parts of the heap to fully decompose. After turning the pile for the first time, turn the pile every day thereafter. When the temperature exceeds 70 degrees, turn the heap immediately, otherwise the beneficial microorganisms and fermentation bacteria will be killed in large quantities, which is not conducive to fermentation and decomposing.
Generally, the color of the fertilizer turn brown or dark brown, and the ammonium nitrogen content increase significantly. That means the cow dung is fully fermented. And the volume of the decomposed compost is 1/3 to 1/2 smaller than the newly piled stack.
